Camp Ascend is an overnight camp experience for teens and adults with mild to moderate developmental or behavioral disabilities — set on the beautiful shores of Whidbey Island at YMCA Camp Casey. Campers will participate in traditional camp activities in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment while providing meaningful respite for families.

DATES: 2026 Registration is closed, Registration for 2027 will open in Winter 2026.

AGES: 16 and older

COST: $950 per session Includes all meals, snacks, activities, art supplies, t-shirt, and memory book mailed home after camp

ACTIVITIES: Swimming, crafts, music, climbing, archery, andtraditional camp programs

STAFFING: 1:4 staff-to-camper ratio with trained counselors andan on-site nurse

Campers must be able to independently manage feeding, dressing, toileting, and grooming. Families may bring apersonal caregiver if 1:1 support is needed.

Registration is by application only:
1.Join the waitlist and complete the pre-registration form
2.Meet with a camp leader to confirm fit
3.Finalize enrollment through CampMinder
