Where do campers stay?
Cabins have electricity, bunk beds, and storage areas. Campers stay in age-appropriate cabins based on grades and gender identity, and are under the supervision of our adult camp counselors any time they are in the cabin.

At registration, campers and parents/guardians will have the opportunity to choose a gendered cabin in which your camper will feel most comfortable. Separate age groups and cabins will have the opportunity to do activities together throughout the week.

Who runs Overnight Camp?
Counselors at YMCA Camp Casey are chosen for their maturity, strong values, enthusiasm, and ability to be positive role models. Counselors are assigned to specific cabins and serve as the dedicated leader and responsible adult for the campers in their cabin. All counselors receive more than 60 hours of training prior to the start of camp, including CPR, first aid, child abuse prevention, water safety, and more. Additionally, the YMCA performs background checks on all counselors and Y staff.
